How to pick a university and a program of study Once you have decided that you would like to apply to a University in Germany and you know your field of study (Engineering, Nursing, Medicine, Economics and more) the question remains as to how you are going to apply, which university is right for you, whether you can take courses in English and what the university requirements are. A great place to start would be the DAAD website. DAAD is the German Academic Exchange Service, a funding organization for international exchange students that promotes German studies in foreign nations, awards scholarships, is involved in the development of cultural and educational policies and assists foreign countries with establishing universities. It is an association of student organizations and higher education institutions in Germany. You can check this website out to look for a program out of their 2021 offerings. They have about 1400 programmes just in English.
